Return trip after 32 months

Real Love board members returned to Zacapa after a 32 month absence due to the pandemic. It was great to see our fellow board member Giovani Rodriquez and his wife Iris after such a long interval. Our faith family at Shalom was as happy to see us as we were to see them. It was a sweet reunion.

Much has been taking place in our absence. Pastor Ruben and his family have moved to Conevisa and are currently living in the addition to the church even though at this time it is unfinished. There is no power or running water. There are many other unfinished projects in the building. Again - this is a faith based build - so we are asking God to provide the funds to complete the building. It is going to be beautiful.

The church has several new members. In fact in July 6 new believers were baptized. Discipleship ministry is taking place in homes each week. Prayer meetings are a regular event at the church. The pandemic has not defeated God's purpose in Conevisa.

Our students are attending a different school this year, which means a bit of an increase in tuition. The board toured the school and met with some of the faculty and we believe the increase in tuition is well worth it.

The week was full of meetings with Pastor Ruben, his mom sister Ines as well as city officials to discuss the problem with getting water in Conevisa. It was a full week, it was a productive week and it was an encouraging week. To God be the glory.
